Originally from Southern California, raised by family from other countries and cultures who spoke a dozen languages around the house. That gave me a unique perspective. I see the world through multiple “lenses”. Culture, language, tech, food and more.

Today I reside in Japan with my wife and two boys. Professionally, I’m a technologist with an extensive and diverse set of certifications and over 20 years and 40,000 hours of practice. I also have a BA in Japanese Language and Literature and an Masters of Business Administration. In addition to teaching Entrepreneurship and New Venture Management, I am frequently a judge in business plan competitions around the world.
