About James Coleman

James is an entrepreneur, teacher, technologist and a dedicated husband, father and more or less part-time flâneur.

A mix of Canadian and Californian, James was raised in a home where half a dozen languages were spoken on any given day. Because of this, he learned to see the world — friendship, education, tech, food, business, and more — through the “lenses” culture, language.

James holds a BA in Japanese Language and Literature and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). In addition to teaching Entrepreneurship and New Venture Management, he is frequently a mentor and advisor to entrepreneurs and founders in business plan competitions around the world.

James currently resides in Japan with his wife, two sons and their dog.
